Schedule columns - exact walkthrough

Confirm the schedule context, open column options, apply the change, then save only if allowed.

When to use

A user needs to add, remove, reorder, or reveal columns on a schedule line or schedule grid.

Steps
  1. 1
    Confirm the view

Make sure they are in the exact schedule view they use for the workflow: location, department, date range, provider/resource, and view/template.

  2. 2
    Open column options

Look for View, Options, Columns, Display, or Personalize. Do this before assuming the column is missing.

  3. 3
    Apply the column

Select the needed column, reorder it if allowed, then Apply. Verify it appears on the schedule line.

  4. 4
    Save only if allowed

If local policy allows personal views, save it as My View/default. If not, leave it as a one-time change.

  5. 5
    Escalate cleanly

If the column is not listed or the view is locked, capture the column name, view/template, role, location, and requester.

What to say
  • Speak calmly.
  • Be specific.
  • End with where you'll be.
What to capture
  • What happened.
  • When it happened.
  • Who was affected.
Common mistakes
  • Changing the wrong schedule view.
  • Saving a personal default when local policy does not allow it.
  • Escalating before checking filters and screen width.
When to escalate

Column missing from picker, locked template, or multiple users affected: escalate as scheduling template/build with exact column name, view, role, and location.
